For the latest scrum, we talk to Rob Miller, frontman of Tau Cross and the legendary Amebix, one of the first (if not the first) acts to blend hardcore punk and heavy metal and a huge influence on the then emergent extreme metal scene, cited as an inspiration by bands such as Napalm Death and Neurosis. Our discussion goes through topics as diverse as the origins of Amebix in rural southern England, the influence of folk horror, the occult, ufology, totalitarianism and, of course, Rob’s work as a swordsmith and how it relates to his music.
